LET’S TALK ART- because honestly, it’s the one thing I am looking at all over my house right now. I have a fear of hanging my art (I might be a commitment phobe?), but I damn sure love to buy it. Also, I don’t hate floor art, it’s kind of a vibe… but I did just place an order for heavy duty command strips, so right now I am planning a layout of what will be hung & what will *maybe* stay on the floor propped up against the wall.
So, while we wait for my command strips, I wanted to share with you guys some of the art I already own + some of the art I am LOVING right now… & it’s all actually affordable.
When it comes to art, I have noticed, my tastes change A LOT… & there is nothing worse than having a piece that cost you a lot but just isn’t your style anymore. You’ll hang it, cause the price you paid, but if you’re not happy looking at it- it really has no business hanging in your home. If it’s a classic piece I KNOW I will love forever, I will splurge, but for the most part- I pinch pennies when it comes to my art.
where I shop for affordable art
1. Desenio: they have so many options & I find this site super easy to shop with the way they organize things! You can also get frames to go with your prints & I love a one stop shop.
2. Urban Outfitters: you know you will find cool stuff at Urban & when shopping there, it feels like the art is already curated for you, which is nice if you have a hard time picking stuff out.
3. Target: I am actually SHOCKED at how much cute art Target has & I am loving there fancy framed paintings (see the peacock below!).
4. Society 6: this site is cool because they have a huge collection & they are from individual artists who submit there work which gives you TONS of variety. You gotta dig, but once you find an artist you like, you’re set!
5. Etsy: another great place to shop for prints, & SUPER cost efficient since, most of the time, you’re buying the digital file & printing/framing yourself. Once you find one you like you, order it & they will send you a file, go to Kinkos to get the file printed in whatever size you want, & head over to Michael’s for a frame! Easy peasy & a lot of these files go for as little as $5!!

ART I’M LOVING (or already own!)
1. Desenio ‘Life is a Joke’ Kate Moss poster ($94): I have wanted this on my walls FOREVER & can’t wait to hang it! It’s one of my fave photos ever & as you can see in the photo above, I am pairing it with some other chic pieces to create a little gallery moment.
2. Desenio ‘Finger’ Poster ($25): I have this cutie sitting on my desk & I LOVE IT. It’s edgy, it’s cool, & you know- it’s pink. The girl symbol tattoo really takes the cake though.
3. Urban Outfitters Pink Cockatoo art print ($89): I want this one for our bathroom! I love animals incorporated into the art because it just makes me feel good- as long as it’s modern/cool like this pink cockatoo cutie.
4. Desenio Prada Marfa Poster ($45): this is a piece I’ve always loved & so perfect for my girly closet/dressing room. Also, a great “key” piece for a fun gallery wall.
5. Abstract Woman Silhouette Line Drawing ($15): I can’t believe the price of this & the fact that I found it on AMAZON. It’s so chic & you have like 10 different silhouettes to choose from. I am super into line art right now!
6. ‘dumplings’ neon sign ($65): a little neon sign is my favorite piece of wall art & you can get one of your very own on Amazon!! I opted for this cute Japanese script sign that says “dumplings” cause that’s just so cheeky, but they have TONS of fun ones to pick from!!
7. Peacock Framed Wall Canvas ($45): this is such a vibe & I am shook it’s from Target. It looks like a piece of art you SCORED at an antique market. It would look great with my new art deco obsession!!
8. Desenio ‘Close’ in Pink ($20): I got this piece to pair with my Prada Marfa & Kate Moss poster- it’s the perfect pop of pink & again, loving those line drawings!!!
