When I was in Greece (majorly missing that beautiful place), the style game was on point! Everyone was so well dressed, & there were so.many.straw.bags!!!
Seriously, it was one rad straw bag after the next & the DIY inspo was a flowin’. I was snapping pictures, like a creep, of peoples straw bags left and right. There were tassels, patches, pom poms, embroidery- the list goes on & on.
So, when I got home, I purchased this straw bag & planned to do something summer-y & cool with it.
Then… the bag sat, and sat, and sat. Life got the best of me, & I just never got around to it. Next thing I know, Summer was over & I was left with this straw bag just screaming for an update of some sort.
Somewhere on one of my social media networks, I saw this amazing pom pom Prada bag, & the inspo was back with a bang. Obviously, I love black, & pom poms are always fun, so I transformed my boring Summer straw bag into the perfect Fall carry all w/ a Prada inspired vibe.

DIY Summer Straw Bag Update
1. wipe your bag clean of any dust!
2. paint your bag with black paint, let dry & repeat 2-3x until all straw is covered.
3. layout your pom poms & glue with hot glue gun.
4. Cut away any hot glue strings & you are good to go. SO easy, so cute!
