I keep telling people, once you join the late twenties club, you just can’t hang like you used to. Especially when it comes to bars/clubs/drinking/staying up late. Three drinks & I will 100% be hungover the next day. Not just a normal hungover either, a don’t effing talk to me, give me my eye mask & some ice water, let me sleep or I will punch you kind of hungover. Four drinks, & it’ll be 2 days of hibernation.
Good times.
Last Tuesday, we went big (sort of). It was a friends b-day, so I broke my normal stay-in-and-watch-DWTS routine, got dolled up, & went out. Next thing you know, I was knocked on my ass for quite a few days. Of course, I swore to myself… never drinking again. So far, so good. I took this weekend to catch up on sleep, take a retreat to my moms abode, read, catch up on some blogging projects, & work work work.
I loved it. So what if I am an old lady? I would much rather stay in and be productive than deal with a deathly hangover any day.
P.S. Thank you all who responded so kindly to this post. Your kind & supportive words mean the world to me <3<3.

+ The Fall FabFitFun VIP box is packed with some amazeeee goodies. This is by far my fave subscription box- it has full sized products, either fashion/beauty/health related, & they are all picked by the one & only Giuliana Rancic (<—- love her!). +

OMG I used to get hangovers like no other too.. 3 day migraines accompanied with nausea and overall death. I would promise myself to never drink again, obviously I would and the cycle would repeat. I’m happy to say that I have not had one of those hangovers in a year!! I am much much much happier going to bed early, waking up early, being good to my body, mind and spirit! I used to get so much anxiety when I would drink a lot (what did I say/do last night?!), and it would put me in such a low place in addition to the sickyness. Learning what moderation looks like was the hardest part. I’m only 22…. So don’t feel bad about your old lady habits!!
Thanks babe! I know exactlyyyy how you feel! Cheers to being old ladies ;). xo
wow your mom’s spot is definitely on point! love!
Right?! She’s so cool :)
Haha! Well it sounds like the recovery time you took was well spent! I love DWTS too, in fact I have said on my blog that they should totally need a style blogger one of these seasons! Right!?! ;p
