scenes from my desk.
UM. Can we all just take a minute to reflect on everything that happened in the world of Beyoncé this weekend?
First comes the most epic music video/song of 2016, #FORMATION. This video literally blew my mind & I’ve watched on repeat at least 10x (including blasting it on the big screen the second we wake up- Zack is loving this. LOL.). Oh, & Blue Ivy is so cute I can’t deal.
Then, Bey slaysssss it hard at the halftime show. Honestly though- how does she do it? I have always loved her, but after this weekend I have 100% joined the #BEYHIVE.
I don’t know about Chris Martin, but Bruno + Beyoncé were so effing amazing. As for the game itself, well… who knows. I know it’s an american past time, but I only came for the food/commercials/Bey.
What’d you guys think of the video, song, & show?! I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Now, for some of the other stuff that went down this weekend (although not nearly as exciting as all that Beyoncé epicness). x, E
always keep crystals in my work space to promote productivity & focus (esp. clear quartz!).
the succulent used in my DIY makeup storage project (now being used on my desk!) just started growing this pretty lil’ flower. Nice surprise as I had no idea succulents produce flowers.
getting ready for Valentine’s Day w/ these cute burlap bags from Michaels (my favorite store!).
on a thrift mission | wearing: black blouse, pointed toe patent loafers, tan leather baseball hat.
scenes from Instagram, left to right: new soft leather boots (sold out, similar) | Sunday’s chess match w/ Zack (he always wins!) | avo toast, party of one | loving my new bonjour shirt (similar denim jacket found here).
Beyonce is a Queen. Happy Monday.
I loved everything about the half time show! Okay, so t was interesting, since I was there in person, so it was cool to be a part of the experience & hold one of the colours, but you will def get more from it by seeing it on video (the acoustics are much better & you can see everything) – to be honest, I had no idea what we were even doing with the signs until I saw photos/videos today! But I can’t stop watching it – ESP Bruno & Beyonce, absolutely phenomenal. Gaga slayed it too – in fact, I think 2016 will be a big year for her.
And IF there were any messages intended, I am behind them all. I loved seeing all the talent/passion, and I can’t stop watching both the SB and the Formation video – it’s all so motivating & inspiring for so many reasons.
Loooooove the chess set! Marble chess sets are seriously everything! Have a great week, Erica! xx
So rad you were there! I seriously died over the song, the performance, everything!!! The song is definitely so inspiring too. Love love love. I missed Gaga but watched it today & WOW, she is stelllllar. x
I love love loved halftime (like watched it 15 or so times) but maybe it’s because I was working on the field stage team and heard Formation for like 4 days before it dropped (I was obsessed and couldn’t talk about it). I personally love Coldplay though and they’re one of my all time favorite bands and in rehearsals Chris would thank every group of people in the stadium (from janitorial crew to the producer and director) and was even hanging out as the last group of us left one night. Kindness goes a super long way and while I think Bey is still queen, Chris is one of the most genuine artists I’ve had the pleasure of meeting.
Omg! So lucky you got to see it up close & personal— & Chris does seem like a sweet guy :)!
