This & That | Mixing Things Up

Whenever I get bored in my surroundings, I become extremely uninspired & unproductive.

… & for the past couple of weeks, I’ve been bored out of my mind. Everything around me was bugging me. The bedding is too bold, the carpet is too big, the bed frame is too high- it all needed to change/get out of my site ASAP.

Friday night I was feeling under the weather so I stayed in & began redecorating. I gathered inspo on Pinterest, sold the bed & the rug on Craigslist, ordered new bedding, snagged some stuff on Etsy (my home decor jam), went to Ikea, got some house plants, & woke up Monday in a totally new place.

I am a huge fan of impromptu home decor remodels & do it often (atleast 4x a year). I like to keep things fresh & keep things moving (stagnant = boring!!). Even if it’s just swapping out some pillows & blankets, the littlest of changes can make the biggest difference & totally revive those long lost creative vibes.

So, do you guys have any tips for simplifying your space? I love love love minimalist decor ideas or DIY’s, so if you guys have any please do share!
