sh*t, this post reminded me I don’t have my some sh*t, this post reminded me I don’t have my something blue… is that bad luck? If you have any something blue inspo, LMK. BUT FIRST- let’s talk about anxiety & weddings… I am SO blessed to have the best wedding planner (ILY @exhaleevents), so I’m not uber stressed. I’m just anxious cause it is who I am. Going to grocery gives me anxiety, so naturally a whole ass wedding is gonna cause some anxiety. The other night I was spiraling (swipe to see how anxiety likes to f*ck w/ me at 2am), so I went to Google & typed “wedding anxiety”. Anxiety loves a google search… your arm hurts, Google tells you it could be a heart attack, so naturally YOU ARE 100000% HAVING A HEART ATTACK. Left arm? Right arm? You know the deal. Google is really out there telling anxious brides that anxiety is a bad omen & it annoyed me. Why not instead… society has made you believe that a wedding is the most monumental day of your existence & NO SHIT you’re anxiety is high?! I got off Google, normalized my own damn anxiety, & fell asleep. MY TIPS: yes- a wedding is wonderful & SO important… but I find not framing it as “THE BIGGEST DAY OF YOUR WHOLE LIFE!!” really helps take down the vibrations. Also, you’re allowed to have anxiety & still be really excited about your wedding. The two can coexist :)
