This & That | City Living

First & foremost, ummm… COMPARTES Chocolate is everything. AMIRIGHT? I almost keeled over spending $10 on a chocolate bar, but I’d do it 10x over. Have you guys tried it? What’s your fave flavor? I want to try them all!!!

Okay, but now let’s talk about city living. I feel like ever since we moved I haven’t talked much about how it’s going over here! Before I moved to the city (North Park, San Diego), I was living in the most beachy town in all San Diego (Cardiff by the Sea). I loved Cardiff, was next door neighbors with my mom, basically knew everyone in town, living was slow, & I was comfortable.

The thing was, I was sick of being comfortable & was realllly sick of slow living. I wanted to challenge myself & I wanted more excitement. So, I made the move. If you know me, I am kinda horrified of change, so this was a HUGE deal. At first, not gonna lie, it was rough. I was weird about going places alone, so I dragged Zack with me everywhere (even the nail salon), I would get lost every time I had to venture out alone, & kinda just ended up staying inside a lot.

Now, 3 months down the road, this move has literally changed my life. The vibe of the city was the breath of fresh air my life needed. I love adventuring solo, finding cool new restaurants, & seeing all the people doing stuff outside all the time. I always thought when we settle down (aka have a family), I would move back to the beach… but I am pretty sure I will be staying in the city forever.

If any of you guys live in downtown San Diego or North Park & have any recommendations- LMK! I have a running list of things I want to see/do/eat & am always looking to add more.

Now for some wknd highlights. HAPPY MONDAY, hope you all kill it today. x, E

» my latest obsession: WelleCo Super Elixir & Nourishing Protein. My best friend, Lauryn from The Skinny Confidential recommended I take both to help reach my fitness/health goals faster & I am hooked! My energy levels are through the roof, my smoothies have an extra health boost, & my skin has been looking so much better! «

this that sushi co

» if you ever come to San Diego & want REALLY good sushi, find Sushi Co. in Hillcrest. I seriously can’t say enough good things about this place. The sushi chef is Brazilian, which is obviously not traditional, but he seriously is a sushi master. «
