Not Your Average Blouse

I am all about a good smart blouse- smart, because it’s versatile, clean, & always looks put together. One of my all time go-to favorite looks is a crisp button up (slightly unbuttoned with a lacey bra peeking out), denim shorts, huge belt, & a layered necklace situation.

This Summer though, the smart blouse has gotten a nice little upgrade. It’s still smart, still versatile, still clean, crisp, & put together, but… a whole lot cooler.

Think off the shoulder, puffy sleeves, big bow details, bare backs, stripes of all kinds, shoulder cut-outs, huge flared sleeves, & fun/different silhouettes. A few of my personal faves:

1. SHEIN White Self Tie off the Shoulder Blouse: this is the blouse I am wearing in this post. You wouldn’t believe looking at it that it’s only $20 (currently on sale!). I mean, it looks like a million bucks & I love the huge ass sleeves + peekaboo cut-out.

2. Navy Striped Off the Shoulder Blouse: Loving these bold stripes & the ruched details of this blouse. Also, super into a navy/white combo lately. It’s very nautical-chic (& perfect for vacay with a giant straw hat!)

3. Choker Wrap blouse: the built in choker is always a good idea & an instant wow factor! This blouse would be perfect with anything from casual jeans to wide leg white trousers. A great piece of Summer!

4. Tie Strap Blouse: tie details are big these days & the sweet bows on the shoulders of this cute light blue off the shoulder shirt are perfection! I also love the flouncy silhouette.

5. Off the Shoulder Crop Top: I have this one too & wear it all the time. I love the ruffle layer & it looks fab worn with highwaisted jean shorts + a worn in pair of Converse, or if you’re going for a more fancy vibe- rock it with a high waisted a-line skirt + some strappy heels.
