Godefroy 28 Day Mascara (+ My Lash & Brow Routine)

When it comes to brows/ lashes… the bigger the better x 100. Over the years I have bought just about every lash/brow product on hand & watched endless amounts of YouTube tutorials. From my testing & research (HA!!), I have acquired quite a few legit tips to get those caterpillars & spiderwebs going full force. Just how I like it.

For my brows, I keep things pretty simple, stupid. First off, I nix the tweezing & instead opt for a wax & a brow dye every so often. The rest is left in the hands of my fave products. I swear by Anastasia’a Brow Kit (daily essential), Ardell’s Brow & Lash Accelerator (it’s magical, seriously.), & NYX Control Freak (to keep stray hairs in line).

My lashes on the other hand, that’s a whole other story. My routine for a night out consists of: curling them w/ my go-to eyelash curler, a swipe or two of Blinc lash primer, one of my favorite mascaras- Benefit’s Yes They’re Real or L’Oreal’s Miss Manga mascara, then one last curl. If I am getting realllll fancy, I sometimes throw on a pair of Lash Accents for an extra boost. Oh, & I also use Ardell’s Brow & Lash Accelerator on my lashes before I go to bed. WHEW.

Intense, right? Def. NOT something I can do on the daily. Sooo, when I was at my brow lady last week, I was asking her a million questions about lash extensions as I’ve been contemplating getting them. I haven’t made the jump mainly because I’ve heard they can be heavy/ uncomfortable/ weigh the eye down/ make lashes fall out. Once my brow lady confirmed that all of those these can certainly be true, & I was over it. She instead suggested I look into lash dying & gave me a big time insider tip (whatta gem)– Godefroy’s 28 Day Mascara.

Naturally, I ordered from my phone on the way home. It finally arrived two days ago & here I am sharing my Godefroy 28 Day Mascara results with all of you lash-lushes!

Okay, so when you get the package you will see it comes 5 things: dye, gel activators, applicators, & eye protectors.

As for how it’s done, lemme break it down:

+ The first step they tell you to do is to put vaseline under your eyes & stick on the eye protector pads. From personal experience, nix those all together- they kept falling off & were super annoying. Instead I just put vaseline around my eyes & had Q-Tip’s nearby incase of any mess-ups.

+ Next they say to use the little white applicator to apply the dye, I found this to be a bit tedious cause the applicator tip was so small, so instead I used a spoolie- much easier. Wait about 30 seconds then apply the activator (again, use a clean spoolie for this). Warning: be a bit more conservative with the activator than the dye, cause if it gets in your eyes- it burns like a mother (trust!).

+ Lastly, wait 1 minute with both the dye & gel activator on your lashes. Then, rinse with luke warm water & pat dry.

One the left, you can see my lashes are almost unnoticeable (slightly embarrassed). On the right, I mean it’s not DRAMATIC like the extensions, but for the day to day– it totally looks like I am wearing a coat or two of mascara. Right?

If you have uber light eyelashes- I vote double/triple/three times yes. If you have darker lashes & are just looking for a subtle lash boost/don’t want to wear mascara every day (like me), I also vote YES. I will definitely be doing it again once this dye-job begins to fade, or maybe even sooner, the tube looks like it will last me quite a few sessions.

Get your lash on!! <3 xx, E
