Back in the day my Dad was SUPER into photography & his favorite subject was my Mom, which means I ended up with a serious treasure trove of epic photos of Linda.

On top of the fact film photos are the coolest, my Mom has always had killller style. I have been sitting on all of these photos for a hot minute now, & every time I look at them I think what an amazing blogger she would’ve been.

Arielle, my amazing photographer, & I thought it’d be fun to start recreating some of these epic photos (w/ a modern twist!) & it really got the creative juices flowing. It was so fun shopping for similar looks, finding the perfect location, getting down the details, & just time warping to my Mom back however many years ago.

& BECAUSE IT WAS SO FUN, I WANT YOU GUYS TO GET IN ON THIS!! I thought of this idea 5 seconds ago & am pretty stoked cause this is gonna be FUN… also, I am the most nostalgic bitch you know so I can’t WAIT to see what you guys come up with.

INTRODUCING THE FASHIONLUSH RECREATION PHOTO CHALLENGE

YUP- I am challenging all of you to recreate a dope photo of your Mom (or it can be your Dad or you as a kid… honestly, as long as you’re recreating an old photo you are in the challenge!) & I will pick the best recreation photos to WIN an amazing gift!!

THE OFFICIAL RULES: 

+ to enter all you need to do is recreate a vintage photo of your mom (or dad/grandma/your younger self)

+ post the photo with a slide so I can see the original. Use the hashtag #FASHIONLUSHPHOTOCHALLENGE & tag me on Instagram so I can see your pics.

+ I will pick one winner every two weeks for 2 WHOLE months… so you have plenty of time to order looks/find locations/take photos/etc!
