DIY Au Naturale Dry Shamps

For the past month or so I have switched up my hair routine. I am trying to head towards a more natural route. I first tried the no-poo deal, but it just made my hair greasy and dry at the same time. I decided to switch to a cleansing conditioner. Which works great, for the most part.

Only problem, my hair get’s greasier quicker than normal. Roots that look wet, never a good look. It may sound gross to some of you every-day-shampooers, but I try to aim for washing my hair every 3-4 days. It is said to be better for your hair, and to be honest, it’s been growing faster than ever these days.

So… when my locks would start to look greasy, I’d reach for my aerosol bottle of dry shamps. That just didn’t seem right. Why would I put all this time into easing my hair away from chemical filled shampoo, and then spray the shit out of it with a chemical filled product? Plus, it always made my hair feel weird.

That very moment I got in the car and headed to the TJ’s to swoop some supplies so that I could make my own dry shampoo. Let me tell you, the result turned out uhhhmaze. It is literally, 100%, the best remedy for second day hair. Swear on it.

+ Tip: if you’re a brunette like myself, add a tablespoon of cocoa powder so you don’t look like a white-haired old woman. Plus it makes it smell pretty delish. +
