5 Game Changing Beauty Hacks

fashionlush, beauty hacks, beauty tricks & tips

I am definitely no makeup expert or skincare guru- but over the years, I have learned a few things from being in this industry… but also from being kinda lazy when it comes to all that sorta stuff.

I am not the girl spending hours a day doing my hair or make-up (who has time for all that?!), so I live for a good beauty hack to make getting ready for the day or night more timely & efficient. Ya feel me?

SO- today i am sharing with you guys my top 5 game changing beauty hacks, but I kinda cheated cause I feel like there are way more than 5 tips in this post. Rebel rebel.

Enjoy these little tricks of mine & if you guys have any beauty hacks I need to know about- SPILL. x

1. Lips: before putting on lipstick I always brush my lips with a charcoal infused toothbrush to exfoliate off dead skin & then follow with my Glossier Balm Dotcom mixed w/ a few drops of peppermint essential oil. The peppermint gives a quick, all natural, plump!

2. Eyes: I am recovering from eyelash extensions, so to make my (currently) very short lashes appear longer, I have a very specific mascara routine. First, I brush my lashes with a lash brush, then I heat up the eyelash curler with my blow dryer to give them extra curl, next I apply primer + mascara (this mascara is my favorite). Added beauty hack: line the top part of your eyelash curler with eyeliner before using it and it will literally apply the liner for you!!

3. Skin: before putting on on makeup I always always always give myself a quick ice facial. It makes my skin look like I just got botox (no lines, cause it’s actually frozen), shrinks up my pores, & makes makeup go on FLAWLESSLY. Post makeup- I always spritz rosewater on my face for added dew & to set my makeup look. This rosewater spritz is my favorite of the moment cause it infuses coconut oil, vitamin e oil, & geranium. Very refreshing & luxurious.

4. Perfume: I don’t know if it’s just me- but I have always felt like my perfume doesn’t last long. I recently learned if you put Aquaphor on your perfume points (wrists, neck, whatever) before you spray, the scent will last allllll day  long. Try it- works like a charm. Also, spray perfume on your hairbrush to keep your hair smelling good for days on end.

5. Hair: sleep on a silk pillowcase to prevent breakage in the night & GET A SHOWER FILTER. The hard water of your shower is killing your hair & a shower filter fixes that problem in seconds.
