I really wanted to name this post ‘Girl’s Not Grey‘, but I opted against it due to the fact I am not sure how many of you would grasp the vintage AFI song reference.
If you know what I am talking about, PRAISE you! Good to know I’m not alone/totally dating myself.
Fun fact, when I was in highschool I went through a serious “punk rock” phase– black hair, lip ring (short lived piercing, Mom made me take it out ASAP), mosh pits, head banging, the whole nine.
I was clearly going through a weird stage in life, but that AFI song was my jam & played like a broken record full blast in my 1986 Volvo. I am actually listening to the song as we speak, for old times sake, & I must say- it’s a catchy little jingle.
BUT enough of that horrifically embarrassing trip down memory lane, especially since that story has absolutely zero to do with anything. Other then the fact I am really into the color grey…
I feel like people kinda shy away from grey for Spring, but I am all about it. It’s minimal, clean, & is just one of those colors that really looks good on everyone. My skin tone is super finicky when it comes to colors (hence why I don’t wear a lot of them), but grey is a nice little switch up to my typically black/white wardrobe choices.
& CAN WE JUST TALK ABOUT THIS TEE. It’s the Presley Deep V-Neck from The Collective by Fashionlush & people are going nuts over it (yay!). I am a sucker for a SUPER soft tee, & this one is about as soft as it soft gets. Plus, that low neck is right up my alley.
I paired it with my all time fave jeans, ‘The Elsa’ by RE/DONE (they do total wonders for your legs!) + these insanely rad patent grey booties with a lucite heel for a casual vibe. I also layered it for a more toned down look, but you can totally sex it up with some leather skinnies + a hot little lacey bralette.
Shop the look below + all my top grey picks of the moment! x, E
