Everyone’s got a routine, especially when it comes to skincare. We get lazy, we stick with what works, & we get in a flow that’s hard to break. BUT, you always gotta be switching things up & today is allll about remixing your regimen to prep your skin/self for the warmer months ahead.
It’s all about focusing on softer skin (to prep for those daisy dukes), the art of dry brushing (don’t worry, we will get to this), switching up your scents, etc. etc.

I have actually been in the market for some new bath brushes ever since my friend & fellow blogger, Lauryn from The Skinny Confidential suggested I start dry brushing. I did, & I can’t believe I didn’t hop on the train sooner. You can peep all of the benefits below, but my personal favorites include: the lymphatic massage, it’s ability to blast cellulite & build elasticity, & how it improves circulation (mine is horrible!). Also, it’s a great exfoliant & helps your skin absorb moisturizers better.

The How To | Dry Brushing
Tools: handheld dry body brush & bristle bath brush.
1. Before you shower, while still dry, grab the handheld dry body brush & start at the ankles with upwards strokes (toward the heart, always). Your stroke should be approximately 6 inches long & repeated 10 times in one spot. Repeat this until you reach your neck, & then stop, no need to dry brush your face (too rough!).
2. When you have to get your back, use your long handled bristle bath brush &, ONLY when doing the back, brush downwards. I repeat, the back is the only part of your body that you should brush downward.
3. Ideally it should be done twice a day, but once will still yield great results!
