Silk Stripes

fashionlush black and white striped outfit of the day

First of all, I have to start this post off with a mini tribute to the one & only, David Bowie.

I saw a quote, not sure where, that said something along the lines of  “if you’re feeling sad about this loss of a legend, just remember– in the 4.5 billion years since the existence of earth, you lived at the same time as David Bowie”. Pretty crazy when you think of it from that perspective, but also very comforting & special. Right?

Rest in peace Bowie. You will be missed by many!!

Now, to lighten the mood– let’s talk style… & Beetlejuice, cause clearly I was channeling him with this look.

I am really into silk blouses lately as I find them to be comfortable, chic, & easy to wear w/ just about anything. Unbutton a few top buttons, take off that dreaded bra (or opt for a harness bra!), throw on a ton of necklaces, & add some rad flares for an understated, yet sexy, look.

As for stripes, I’m all about them & have been noticing myself gravitating for more striped pieces lately. It’s an easy way to add a little flair to my wardrobe, while still avoiding incorporating colors, cause sometime all black everything can get a little old. JK!!! Black can never get old, you know this, but it’s still good to mix in some patterns once in a while.

Shop stripes below + this look below! x, E

“I don’t know where I’m going from here, but I promise it won’t be boring.” -Bowie
