For those of you who don’t already know this, I am realllly into all thing magical & mystical.
I believe in the power of crystals, I am constantly on the hunt for my third eye (tips to find it? please share!!), I am getting into the world of Tarot, my Rose Quartz pendulum is better than a therapist (highly suggest getting a pendulum to anyone interested in this stuff), & of course- I love candles.
Do you think I’m weird yet? It’s okay if you do, a lot of my friends/family totally tune me out when I get to talking about my obsession w/ crystals. My good friend just had major surgery, & while everyone was being normal by sending flowers, I sent her a care package complete with crystals to help the swelling/chakra candles for good vibes/& essential oils specifically for speedy recovery.
Considering her & I named our blog design company Blog-Doo w/ our tagline being the ‘website witch doctors‘, she totally gets my vibe & appreciated the box of magical goodies. Anyone else, I’d probably stick with flowers…
That said, I am really really loving this magical themed DIY project! Using some Flash Tats I had lying around the house + vigil candles I scored from my local 99 cent store, I whipped up some of my very own magical themed candles to use when reading my rad new Tarot deck.
Check out all of the how-to deets below & you can also shop some of my pre-made DIY kits here.

p.s. want more posts about crystals/Tarot cards/Chakras? Let me know! I love love LOVE talking about this kinda stuff to anyone who will listen.
DIY Magical Pillar Candles
Supplies: glass pillar candles, Flash Tattoos (love the Child of Wild & the Dakota packs for this project), rubbing alcohol + cotton pads, acrylic sealant spray.
1. Using your cotton pads & rubbing alcohol, wipe your candles clean.
2. Layout your intended design
3. Place your flash tat on the candle (it should stick in place) & hold a wet paper towel on top just like you would apply it on your skin! Repeat until you have completed your design
4. Once fully dry, spray with your sealant & you’re good to go. Nifty, right?
