It’s my first Monday back from vacay, & to say I am struggling would be an understatement.
The past three days have consisted of sitting on the couch, binge watching The Killing (best show ever), & taking naps on naps on naps. I would love to say it’s all because of jetlag, but that’s really only half of it, I have a serious case of the post-vacay blues.
Does this ever happen to you guys? I literally feel homesick.
When you’re on vacation you are doing things everyday & constantly on the go, now that I am home, I am scared I am going to get stagnant. I don’t want to fall back into my daily routine. I want to go on more adventures, I want to be more active, I want to see things I’ve never seen, basically… I just want to be on vacation everyday of my life.
Now that I am home, it is my goal to do more fun things, take more trips (even if they’re small), & live in the moment. In the meantime though, I am easing my blues by looking/sharing pictures from my amazing trip to the most amazing city in the world– Copenhagen. Enjoy & if you have any ideas for day trips/different things to do near San Diego- let me know!

the most amazing gourmet ice cream pops from Olufs. When we got our pistachio & hazelnut pops, the store owner told us to eat quick because there are no preservatives to keep them from melting. LOVE that!
from left to right: my favorite building | the rooftop view from Sticks n’ Sushi (aka the most amazing restaurant recommended by a reader!) | feeding the pretty swans on the river | “psst… great things never come from comfort zones…” TRUTH!
Last year in Copenhagen we rented bikes & the second I got on mine, I freaked out & we had to return the bikes. This ended up in a 7 mile walk around the city. Zack understood, but he wasn’t super stoked on it. So I promised him that this year I would get on a bike.
I know how to ride a bike & rode one all through college, but in Copenhagen everyone is super serious about biking, so it was just super intimidating. Three days before we left, I finally worked up the courage & we rented bikes for the day. It was SO much fun & definitely the right way to navigate the city… so bummed we didn’t do it sooner. Next year– bikes the entire trip!

The most beautiful blogger/press brunch for the grand opening of The Jewellery Room (stay tuned, doing a full post on Danish jewelry soon- it’s so amazing!).
