Rich Girl / Poor Girl: Alexander Wang Prisma Bag

When it comes to buying designer pieces, I am very finicky. Obviously, if you’re gonna spend a months worth rent (give or take), you better make sure you love it/plan to have it forever.

Which is where my problem arises… I don’t like having things forever. Whatever the opposite of hoarder is, that’s me. I get bored easily & am getting rid of stuff on the daily (the guy at the Salvation Army drop literally knows me by name).

On top of that, I’ve never been much of a “label whore”. Even when it was the cool thing to do, I chose not to rock Juicy on my ass, Bebe on my boobs, or a Louis on my arms (minus my vintage speedy– if it’s vintage, it’s exempt). Personally, I’d much rather have a purse that only the people who know, know.

Ya know?

Which brings me to my latest acquisition: The Alexander Wang Prisma lunch bag. It was time for me to invest in a quality bag (#grownupthings) & this was the perfect choice for me. It’s versatile (can be worn 3 ways), understated, minimalistic, & the leather is seriously soft as butter.

I am beyond pleased with my purchase & my decision, but I gotta say it hurt just a teeny tiny bit when I saw the metal edge faux leather box bag. It’s not a dead ringer for my bag, but it’s definitely a dupe for the entire Prisma family w/ it’s metal accents (loveee that they’re silver!), sleek structure, & crossbody strap.

All in all, if you’ve been lushing over the Wang Prisma bag, this is a great little designer dupe for your handbag collection!

p.s. I know I own the “rich girl” version in this post so let me just clarify, I am in no way calling myself a “rich girl”. I saved up to treat myself, which I think every lady should do once in a while! In most cases though, I am typically all about those poor girl finds!
