I’ve said it before, & I will say it again, home decor is not my forte… but I have made it my goal to actively better myself at learning how the eff to decorate.
I’ve been pinning away like cray, reading up on my new fave hobby- Feng Shui, & even squeezing in some DVR-ed HGTV shows between my recordings of Candidly Nicole & RHOBH (not as interesting/hilarious- but way more educational!).
Taking aggressive notes along the way… obviously.
Even though the remodel my cousin did for me was a game changing improvement, I am always looking for more fresh/chic/rad ways to add some flair to my humble lil’ abode.
… & I don’t plan on stopping making improvements until I get featured on Apartment Therapy!!! JK… but really though, I’d choose a feature on their site over an Academy Award any day. #LIFEGOAL.
My latest & greatest home decor project was actually a spur of the moment decision I made yesterday when I was writing up my DIY perfume tray post. I realized the couch I was sitting on was a bit lacking in the cool department. Mainly the pillow situation…
LIGHTBULB!
A while back I, for who knows what reason, ordered about 5 yards (excessive- always) of black pom pom trim. I guess I knew that one day in the future, pom pom trim would be a necessity. I was right. This uber chic trim was seriously just what my boring pillow was lacking.
With just a few pins & stitches (stupid easy), I had a brand spanking new / seriously epic black & white pom pom pillow. It was just like, if not cooler, than the Vera Wang one I was majorly drooling over on Pinterest the other day! Score.
