Not gonna lie- my hair is finnicky as fuck.
It’s curly, it’s unruly, & I have extra long hair extensions… so to say it needs extra attention would be an understatement.
I have actually battled for YEARS trying to figure this whole hair thing out. How to blow dry properly (I actually HATE blow drying my hair). Playing around with how to protect it from the heat of the flat iron (I am a straight hair junkie). Even asking and finding the answer to the question “what does purple shampoo do anyway?” & then there comes the products…
Little did I know, it’s actually the products that make everything else fall into place. I had zero clue that not caring about products was actually the root of all my hair woes. SO- I am proud to say, I have finally found a little hair care routine that does the trick & cut my styling time in half.
Check out my fave hair products below & if you have any I need to know about, LMK!!
My 5 Top Hair Products OTM
1. Drybar On The Rocks shampoo & conditioner
when it comes to my shampoo & conditioner, I am very specific. My hair HAS to feel super clean, & with most shampoos/conditioners… it never does. It feels gritty, thick, weighed down, & just not squeaky clean how I like it. The Drybar On the Rocks collection ticks off all my requirements for a solid shampoo & conditioner.
It is infused with activated charcoal, which helps draw out impurities & really leave your hair feeling fresh. The conditioner is lightweight, so it won’t weigh your hair down, but still leaves your hair smooth & silky (formulated with macadamia oil & coriander!)

2. Tony Moly Haeyo Mayo nutrition pack
Once every three washes I like to get in a really good deep condition. You know when your hair is so silky in the shower it’s like a slithery snake (don’t know how else to explain it), yea, well that’s my favorite feeling ever for my hair. So silky, it’s literally slippery af.
The Tony Moly Haeyo Mayo is 100% the best deep conditioner I have ever used. DIY mayo masks for hair are known to make hair super soft, but they are gross, so this product keeps the egg yolks but gets rid of the nasty smell.
It also contains macadamia nut oil & shea butter. SO.MUCH.MOISTURE.

3. R+Co High Dive moisture & shine cream
I was recommended this line by my amazing hair girl *and friend*, Marchelle (if you live in SD, Bluxom is where it’s at). I have a hard time keeping my curly hair straight & smooth through out the day- & this product is the master of smoothness.
Smooth hair shaft = straighter hair. I put a small nickel size amount in the palm of my hands & apply it to the ends of my towel dried hair prior to styling. It just smoothes out fly aways & makes my style stick throughout the day.

4. R+Co Grid structural hold setting spray
This is the second product I use to get my straight hair to STAY straight. It adds a little grit to your hair & is a HUGE help in keeping my curls in check all day long. It’s kinda like a hairspray for straight hair… minus the crunch.
After I apply my shine creme, I spray my towel dried hair with the Grid setting spray, & then get to blow drying.

5. Drybar Sparkling Soda shine mist
Last, but not least, my shine mist. Drybar just really kills it on branding. The name Sparkling Soda for this product is too good. I’d buy it for the name alone, so it’s a good thing it’s amazing.
I love shine, I love silky, I love healthy looking hair. Once I am done styling, I spritz my head lightly (not too much or it could look greasy) with Sparkling Soda for an added bit of shine.
Doesn’t hurt that it smells amazing too!
