0h hey- did I mention, I love Korean beauty & skincare everything/anything?! I talk about it all the time… because really, Korean skincare products have never let me down.Plus, Korean women have the most insanely perfect skin, so I can pretty much guarantee I will try any & all innovative skincare and/or beauty products they come up with next.
The latest & greatest I’ve been hearing all about is how Korean women are now using sparkling water to wash their face. The whole thing seemed very bougie, but also refreshing & made sense how it would work . Also, I am so addicted to sparkling water that I now have it on tap thanks to my beloved SodaStream (best gift ever!!)… so it was worth a try.
How it works is simple: after you wash your face, dunk your head for 10-15 seconds in a bowl filled with half water/half sparkling water. The little bubbles get up into your pores to provide a gentle exfoliation that removes dead skin cells & purifies the pores. Also, the carbonation brings oxygen to the skin, which helps decrease puffiness. If you’ve tried a bubble mask, it’s the same idea, but more cost efficient.
So… I’ve done it once a week for the past 3 weeks & now, it’s the highlight of my week! At first it felt like such a process, but then I decided to make a whole relaxing thing of it. I wash off my makeup, do my new GlamGlow face mask (shout out to Lauryn for this killer face mask rec!!), & then partake in my 10 sec sparkle soak.
When it was all said & done, I could noticeably tell that my skin was much firmer (you can feel it big time!) & my overall my face looked the way I feel after a nice cold glass of sparkling water- very refreshed & happy.
Try it, it’s so easy, & let me know if you have any other cool beauty hacks I need to try! Also- you can see some of my top fave Korean skincare products here.

**note: if you have sensitive skin, they say to use sparkling water more like you would a toner, with a cotton pad**
I’m so happy you talk about this beauty hack, it is so true to every word … I have been washing my face with sparkling water for a long time now. Back in France, my Maman taught me this and I stick with it ever since. It’s surely a lovely feeling and it’s a costly thing to keep up with it too! :)
