I don’t know about you guys but the thought of going out to a crowded bar, running into all the people from high school who are home for the holidays who act as if we are long lost BFF’s (“OMG. I haven’t seen you in years. Gimme a hugggg!” NO THANKS!), all while gagging over the smell of spilled tequila shots does not sound like my idea of a good time. Sorry, but I’m just not sorry.
Personally– I prefer my favorite pair of sweats, my unicorn slippers, my babes (the guy & the dog), a warm fire + candles, & my new fave holiday bevvy- the ginger/whisky ice cream float.
It is literally a game changer. I am hugely obsessed with ANYTHING ginger- so I already knew I’d love it & all you have to say to your beau is whiskey- and he will be all over it as well.
A nice warm & fuzzy buzz will only make the night more romantic… & fun ;).

+ This may not be the healthiest bev, but cinnamon does have it’s benefits. Cinnamon helps lower blood sugar/ prevents cancer/ has anti-bacterial & microbial properties / is an antioxidant/ helps aid in weight loss/ etc. Plus it tastes amaze, I literally use it more than salt & pepper. +
INGREDS:
+ 2 oz of whiskey
+ Ginger beer (be sure it’s ginger BEER not ginger ALE- huge difference!).
+ 2 scoops vanilla ice cream per drink.
+ 2 frosty/ cold glasses.
+ a dash of cinnamon
+ Opt: apple slice & cinnamon stick.
DIRECTIONS:
+ First add your ice cream, next pour in your bourbon, finish off with your cold ginger beer & a sprinkle of cinnamon.
+ To get extra festive, throw in a cinnamon stick & an apple slice on the rim.
+ Serve with a straw & a spoon.
