DIY | Pop Culture Costumes

Halloween is almost here & I really can’t you believe it? Time is in ffw currently & it’s hard to get in the mood while living in a habitual summer (I know, poor me, but I am really so jealous of anyone with seasons!!!).

Feeling super thankful for Halloween as it’s really the only thing getting me into the fall vibe. I love seeing the pumpkins outside the grocery store, all the creepy decorations, tasting every single pumpkin item from Trader Joes (even the pumpkin tortilla chips w/ matching salsa), the comeback of the pumpkin Acai bowl at Sambazon, & of course- brainstorming what the hell I’m gonna dress up as this year.

Typically I do some sort of throw back or classic, past years I’ve been Edie Sedgwick (pre-blonde/Andy era), Wendy Adams, classic vampire, etc. This year I wanna switch things up & do something semi-cheeky and a bit more current. I have been thinking of tons of different pop culture costumes & I have finally narrowed it down to my top 4 choices.

Personally, I’m leading towards The Countess in American Horror Story hotel, mainly because I just want to wear this red dress realllly bad. Added bonus: Zack could then be Matt Bomer as Donovan, whose style I dig & would really enjoy picking out his costume/putting eyeliner on him.

Baddie Winkle is a close runner up though, she only the raddest Grandma around (#squadgoals).
