You know that girl who travels w/ 5,000 bags stuffed full of shoes/clothes/accessories all crammed in the trunk of her car on the reg?
If not, you do now. Hiiii (waving hand emoji), I am that girl.
I hate hate hate the mere thought of being w/o something I may need. Even though the likelihood of being invited to last minute black tie affair is slim to none, I still find it completely normal to bring along a black silk maxi & sky-high stilettos JUST IN CASE.
My boyfriend lives across town, so when I make my longggg 30 minute trek to his house, I always come overly prepared. I pack an outfit for any occasion that may arise, even though we have zero plans & I will be home the next morning (or quite possibly that night.)
He always gets a good LOL when I have to call him to come outside to help with my bags. It’s excessive, I know.
Last week I decided to test myself (& shock Zack) by packing as lightly as possible when coming to his house. We had a day-date planned as well as dinner with friends, so I knew I needed two full looks, but I wanted to do it with as little bags as possible.
It wasn’t an easy task, but I think I did okay! I picked one key piece (a comfy white tee), & built around that. I ended up only bringing along my purse & one (oversized) Baggu bag– mission accomplished. Yay me.
Now, if only I could apply these newly learned skills to packing for my upcoming trip… cause I can pretty much guarantee Zack isn’t going to be thrilled when he sees what I plan to bring (esp. since he will obviously be carrying my luggage!).
LMK what you guys think of my day ➝ night look & if you have any tips to make packing light a cinch.. cause I’m gonna need all the help I can get!
