What’s in My Summer Bag [ a.k.a my bag of tricks!! ]

If you know me, you know I am a total OCD freak… it’s actually kinda bad/super annoying for anyone around me. Zack is literally given a small corner in my closet to keep his stuff, & he knows it damn well better be neat & tidy (sorry babe! <3).

Sometimes I even try to leave one piece of clothing on my floor before I go to bed in an attempt to train myself that IT’S GONNA BE OKAY. It never is, I can’t sleep till it’s folded nicely & put back in it’s place

When it comes to my purse though, I all the sudden transform into a serious hoarder. Not the nasty kind you see on TLC w/ carcasses of their long lost cats stuffed in the corners (puke)… I am atleast clean about my hoarding tendencies. I have a major fear of not having something I may want at all times, so instead I go full out Mary Poppins on the situation. Minus the lamp- that’s a bit excessive.

When Summer hits, my daily needs change, so I swap out certain items (i.e. an extra beanie for when my head is cold (???) is traded for a bottle of Evian spray to keep cool).

Occasionally, I dump the contents so that I can re-organize & put everything back nicely. This time– I snapped some pics so I could share with you guys all of the essentials that I can’t live without on a day-to-day basis.

Don’t judge… cause it’s a lot.

What do you guys keep in your Summer bags? Are they as full as mine (if that’s even possible)?

1. Tweezers: I always keep a pair of Tweezerman’s in my purse because I like to pluck my brows in the car. It’s weird, but the natural light is really the best way to see the strays.

2.  Coin Purse: I hate “floaters” on the bottom of my bag, so my cute “cha-ching” coin purse (similar one here) holds everything from loose change to extra jewelry.

3. Roller Ball Perfume: Cause carrying a full time perfume is a recipe for disaster, been there/ done that (spillage). I die over Kai Perfume Oil, the scent is so light & fresh- perf for Summer.

4. Eyedrops: I am borderline obsessed with these eye-drops by Rohto-V. They are so so so cooling & feel so good, plus they make the whites of my eyes so WHITE. Truth- I just got up to put them in my eyeballs. Ahhhhh, refreshed.

5. Business cards + holder: cause you never know when the opportunity will arise to do some networking, you must always carry business cards. How cute is that vintage Louis Vuitton business card holder? One of the best gifts I’ve ever gotten.

6. Good Vibes: I always keep these three healing crystals in my purse. Amethyst for spiritual healing & growth, quartz for power/energy/protection, & Jade for prosperity/wealth/love. Scope the Encyclopedia of Crystals to see which ones are best for you.

7. Lucky Lighter: No matter what you do/where you go, there is a good chance someone at some point will ask for a lighter. I don’t need this on a day to day, but it was a gift from my mom & looks like it has a Z on it (for Zack), so I consider it lucky.

8. Polaroid Camera: I carry my Instax Mini with me everywhere I go, & use it often. I am obsessed with this lil’ baby. I also often carry my Canon Rebel, but that wasn’t fitting in this particular bag.

9. Sunscreen: I am a freak about my skin– so sunscreen is with me at all times. I keep it in a little tub, cause just like perfume, a big bottle of sunscreen is a recipe for disaster. I use Neutrogena’s Sensitive Skin Sunblock SPF 60, it never makes me break out & it’s a PHYSICAL sunscreen, which is way better for you than a chemical one.

10. Bitzy’s leash: also an essential of mine since she goes with me almost everywhere, plus I also always have her harness (she never ever ways a collar- bad for her lil’ trachea). I got her this leash a couple months ago (similar style found here), & honestly– it’s one of my best fashion accessories! The Zebras & gold deets are to-die-for.

11. Fave Blush: I am not a “pink” girl, but Michelle Money swore by ELF ‘Pink Passion’ blush on the MM&L Show saying that it was the perf color for everyone, so I had to have it. She was spot on- I carry it with me everywhere so I never look color-less.

12. Bobby Pins: duh, a must.

13. Lipstick: I actually usually carry about 5 lipsticks for all occasions: a reddish/orange, a super dark red/purple, & Lime Crime’s Velvetine black matte lipstick. Yea, you heard it- black lips. I know it sounds crazy, but it’s a rad look, see it in action here.

14. Eyebrow Gel: I am self-confessed brow addict & I need my NYX Control Freak brow gel 24/7 (the name is so fitting for me- right?). It keeps every brow in perfect place, all day long.

15. Sunnies: Well that’s a given. I seriously can’t leave the house with out my sunglasses. Often times my purse usually has 2-3 pairs in it, but right now I am all about my all black Ray-Ban Aviators. Mary Kate owns the same pair, & we all know I idolize MK/ want to wear her skin #swimfan.

16. Chapstick: EOS is pretty much my lips BFF, it makes them so so soft, & tastes delish. I alternate between Honeysuckle Honeydew & Pomegranate Raspberry. (p.s. Cara Delevingne swears by them as well!).

17. iPhone: Welp, this ones a given. I pretty much couldn’t live without my phone, as sad as that is. It’s my everything.

18. Eyeglasses: I lost my favorite Ray-Ban reading glasses a while back (tear), so I have been going without for quite a while. I just got a new pair from Coastal.com & I die over their nerdy/hipster vibe. Plus, not having headaches anymore is quite a bonus.

19. The Vessel: my purse of choice changes often, but this crocodile crossbody is a current go-to & miraculously holds all my stuff. Similar style found here.
