So when I was around the age of 16/17 the idea of fashion/style was a concept I did not fully grasp. I opted for Abercrombie skirts with corresponding tanks and push up bras- not exactly tres chic, but I was totally into it.
To the point, I was working the other day these two adorable girls came dressed like they walked out straight out of NYLON magazine– I was in shock when I found out they were 16 and 17- and to say the least, impressed and inspired. So I am therefore doing a feature on one of the two girls, Sideara. She is a great little fashionista, and with age- I can only imagine what great ensembles she will continue to come up with. FL: Who is your style icon?
SW: Mary Kate Olsen. I love how all her styles are so comfortable and wearable yet winning.
FL: What inspires your style?
SW: I get inspired by everything around me, from comic books to people to jewelry.
FL: What is your greatest fashion faux pas?
SW: I hate, hate, hate it when designers put a print on an article of clothing and then it stops halfway through and doesn’t continue onto the back. If there’s something with a really cute design but it doesn’t continue on the back, I cry.
FL: What are you top 3 favorite pieces in your cloest?
SW: My Brian Lichtenberg BRIANEL tank top dress, a big knitted coat my great grandpa made before I existed, and my wedge lace up shoes from ALDO.
FL: Who is your favorite designer?
SW: My favorite designer hands down is Brian Lichtenberg. He’s built himself up and is super creative.
FL: What are you favorite places to shop?
SW: Thrift stores, its better to wear something you bought for $2 and never see anyone else wear it then spend a handful of money at Urban Outfitters and see ten other girls with the same leather jacket as you.
FL: What is your current obsession?
SW: Minx nails!! My friend Brian did mine, theyre like a semi-permanent nail print applied with light. I got mostly cheetah and theyre so cooool! I cant stop looking at my fingers hahah.
