‘Highstreet fashion’, simply put, is fashion styles for all of us up on the highstreet who just can’t justify breaking the bank on a pair of plain black heels. Lowstreet, on the other hand, is where the one percenters live… casually walking into Saint Laurent & buying three bags like it ain’t no thing. Props to them, cause if I could, I absolutely would–but this girl has got rent, a ridiculous cell phone bill (I am always going over my data), fancy raw dog food (way more important than any designer shoes), & an addiction to buying everything ever on Amazon.
Just recently I heard through the blogger grapevine, that a lot of bloggers out there actually buy those pricey pieces, shoot looks & then return. I’m all about that fake it till you make it mindset, but that is just taking it a little too far IMO.
I am totally fine with staying right up here on highstreet, where you can find just as good/similar/possibly better styles for a fraction of the price. Including this highstreet favorite striped shirtdress that I scored in Copenhagen at H&M (a highstreet gold mind).
I know the abundance of color totally contradicts my last outfit post, but I am letting it slide because the colors are muted/Fall-ish & not the least bit bright or obnoxious (ahem, pink). I also really love the oversized fit, it totally channels the vibes of my mini muses, Mary Kate & Ashley.
I am always on the hunt for new highstreet shops, so comment your fave below!

That’s so silly! I have way to much financial anxiety to have a few thousand on my credit card just to return it and anxiously wait the 3-5 days before it gets taken back off the statement. Thanks, but no thanks.
But yesssss to high street fashion (thanks for the definition or I would have had no idea what to call this)!! I love getting cheaper versions of items primarily because I don’t know how long I’ll end up wanting to wear something. My style and likes change way too frequently. I really love H&M, Forever 21. I’ve also been finding great deals at Express, Old Navy and Target.
Ooh, I gotta check out Express & Old Navy! I haven’t shopped there in a hot minute. I totally fell ya though- it doesn’t make sense to spent a ton of money on something that’s just gonna go out of style soon!
