I have tried pretty much every oil under the sun, but when it comes to seeing noticeable differences, I hadn’t had a lot of luck. I was breaking out more, felt like they were clogging my pores, & just kinda kinda got tired of trying new oils.
Then, a few weeks ago, I posted something on insta-stories about my “make-up” diet in attempt to get my skin under control & someone messaged me to try hemp oil.
Ugh… another oil recommendation. She continued to rave about how it helped clear up her skin, holy grail product, etc. etc. I was intrigued, so I started googling & ended my night browsing Amazon for all the best hemp oil products.
I was sold. The reviews were 5 stars across the board & I love a 5 star product.
SO- it came in the mail quickly & I have used it as a replacement for my makeover. Lemme tell ya… it hasn’t been long, so I don’t want to jinx anything, but my complexion has kinda been shining lately. I mentioned above, acne has been a bitch lately, which has left me with some marks that aren’t fading.
Ever since I started with the hemp oil, the scars look a lot happier. My skin is soaking the stuff up, but not breaking out, which is nothing short of a miracle.
What is Hemp Oil?
Hemp oil is the oil that is pressed from the seeds of the hemp plant. The hemp plants comes from the cannabis sativa species, yet it is bred specifically for seed & fiber, unlike marijuana which is bred for THC content.
Hemp seed oil contains more fatty acids than any other nut or seed & is packed with amino acids, omega 3, omega 6, vitamins, & minerals- all of which make hemp oil one of the most moisturizing skin loving oils out there (from the inside out).
Hemp oil isn’t just topical- people swear by consuming the stuff. Implementing Hemp oil supplements into your daily vitamin regiment can be great for healthy hair & skin, hormone regulation, joint health, pain, energy, & just overall good health.
Just make sure that when buying hemp oil you find one that is organic, unrefined, & cold-pressed. You want the best of the best when it comes to hemp oil & always make sure the oil you choose is chemical free. This one is the one I got, & I am obsessed.
What are the Benefits of Hemp Oil
+ it has anti-inflammatory properties that help with skin issues such as acne, dryness, eczema, psoriasis, scarring, hyper pigmentation, etc.
+ the composition of hemp oil is similar to the lipid layer of our skin, so it is easily absorbed into the skin & helps to speed of skin regeneration for faster healing. it also increases skins elasticity & refreshes tired skin.
+ when taken orally, hemp oil can thin your blood. Weird, but great if you have horrific hand veins like me. It basically makes veins less puffy.
+ also when taken orally, hemp oil can regulate acne causing hormones.
+ hemp seed oil contains Vitamin D, which allows calcium absorptiongm to keep skin soft.
+ hemp seed oil contains ceramides, & these ceramides help to prevent excess moisture from leaving the hair shaft… therefore REALLY moisturizing your hair. Simply apply hemp seed oil from mid to ends after you get out of the shower & style as normal.
+ on top of the insane amounts of healthy fats in hemp oil, it’s also a great source of Vitamin E & Vitamin E is one of the most crucial antioxidant when it comes to good skin & good health.
Wow this sounds ultra magical! Tbh I’ve been a little overwhelmed by the whole oil craze and haven’t tried any yet but this sounds like a great place to start!
