I am seriously in LOVE w/ this DIY project & so excited to finally be sharing it. Safe to say it’s definitely top 5 faves, ehhhh… probably more like top 3. Yup, top 3 (& I’ve done quite a few projects in my time).
When I moved to my new place, I really wanted a bistro set on my patio. I found one, but it was seriously boring. Brown wood… my least favorite material ever. Puke. It needed a make-over, but I knew it was gonna be a big job & I was being lazy/procrastinating. So the ugly table sat,and sat, & sat some more– all while never really being sat in. Poor drab table.
When my ladies at Forever 21 came to me & said they wanted to collab on a home decor do-it-yourself project, I knew this was my time to make my sad table happy. I wanted something bright, welcoming, & different from anything else.
The result was that & so so so much more.
Now my table is sat in on the daily, or even twice daily. I like to have my morning coffee out there while I check my emails/Instagram/Facebook/Twitter/blog, my boyfriend & I sit at it for hours on the weekends sipping Coronas (lights for me) & playing chess, it’s also the perfect little table for an outdoor romantic dinner date. Basically, I am obsessed.

++ Find all of the DIY deets on the Forever 21 blog. Trust, it’s simpler than it looks. I will say, a friend could help the process go faster. My Mom actually assisted in this whole project. I totally owe her for my crafty tendencies- thanks Mama! ++
++ upped. ++
++ Lauryn from The Skinny Confidential loved it so much she custom ordered one for her patio as well! If interested in a hand painted bistro set of your, contact me! ++
This is so awesome!! Great job!
thanks love!!
Ahh this is to die for! So funny because my sister and I live together and we were just about to get rid of our bistro set because we were kind of bored with it. Great way to bring new life into it :)
Yes! It’s a fun way to mix things up :)
It looks so awesome! Where did you get a bistro set in that style? I can only find the metal ones and the wood ones that I see are bulky and ugly.
I got it at Ikea!
If you don’t mind me asking what kind of pain do you use?
Exterior paint :)
