Traveling is ALWAYS super rough on my skin… but this trip was was a real zinger for my skin.
Jamaica is extremely humid, if you follow me on Instagram, you saw there was ZERO controlling my curly hair with all that humidity. I embraced it, rocked my Rihanna island hair & my skin was happy with all that moisture.
Being on a plane is known to dry out skin, so I was prepared for that, but I wasn’t prepared for the DRY San Diego heat sucking literally all the moisturizer out of my skin.
So- the first thing I did was unpack, & the second think I did was whip up my most moisturizing & vitamin enriched DIY Cannabis face mask. YUP- cannabis. You guys know, I am a fan of the stuff… so it only makes sense I use it on my skin.
It’s the best kind of contact high because… SKIN NEEDS CANNABIS. Trust me guys. This face mask won’t get you high, but it will definitely keep your skin lit (& so damn glowy!!)
Benefits of Cannabis Facial
+ THC has massive anti-inflammatory properties, so it’s topical benefits are next level & can work to heal a variety of skin issues
+ THC is also full of antioxidants to help prevent damage & protect the skin from UV rays as well as harmful pollutants.
+ the anti-oxidants in THC can help to combat wrinkles & fine lines, fade dark spots, even out skin tone, & plump your skin!
+ it is rich in fatty acids, so it helps with hydration when used topically & aids in regulating oil production to help heal acne.
+ oh yah, it’s natural.
DIY Cannabis Facial
Cannabis Facial Ingredients:
+ 1 ripe avocado: avocados also contain omegas, so they are super moisturizing & the vitamins found in avocados can help to greatly brighten your skin tone.
+ 1/4 cup hemp oil, or marijuana oil, where legal. Hemp is not the same as marijuana, but because it is part of the cannabis plant, it still contains that anti-oxidant rich THC. If you have or can make cannabis oil, it will be stronger, but hemp oil will do the trick.
+ 2 tsp Spirulina powder: Spirulina is a superfood sea algae & is full of skin loving vitamins & amino acids. It protects your skin from free radicals & helps eliminate toxins from the skin. It also promotes a faster skin cell turnover in skin.
+ several drops tea tree oil: I use tea tree for acne, but you can sub this for whichever oil best fits your skins needs!
+ face mask brush (optional)
diy cannabis facial step by step:
