It’s not often that Z & I have time from our busy schedules to put down the electronics & just chill out over a nice dinner. A typical date night for us usually involves working late over a bottle of wine while watching Blacklist in our pajamas.
Not complaining, cause I love these nights w/ him, but every once in a while you gotta keep things fresh & get a little spicy.
Zack’s been travelling for work a lot as of late, so we’ve def. been slacking on our monthly date night tradition. When he got back from his latest trip I immediately sent him a calendar invite (romantic, eh?) to date night at our favorite restaurant, Alexanders on 30th.
If you live in San Diego, I highlllly suggest you check this restaurant out. It’s quaint, uber romantic, covered in ivy (LOVE this!), & reminds us so much of our favorite place in the world, Copenhagen.
We noshed on a cheese board w/ fig & honeycomb, died over the roasted beet & goat cheese salad, had legit candlelit conversation sans any Snapchat (major win!), washed it all down with a bottle of rosé, & ended the night proper with ginger chocolate gelato from Chocolat + a Transparent (FYI: amazzzzing show!) marathon.
Most importantly though, my date night outfit!!
I’ve been loving the culotte trend lately, but after buying & returning 3 pairs, I kinda figured it just wasn’t a look for me. Until I found this amazing culotte jumpsuit (praise!). I am a huge sucker for anything one piece, so this hot little black number was right up my alley.
My favorite part of the total look though was most def. the shoe!! When it comes to accessorizing, I usually keep it understated with the exception of my #SOTD. Shoes are my happy place & these palm frond beauties (BTW, under $35!!!) gave this total look the perfect pop of color/Spring-y vibes.
SO— how do you guys keep the flame in your relationship burning strong?! I’m always down for more ideas on spicing things up.

:) aren’t they great?!
I love how chic the silhouette of that jumpsuit is. The body chain and printed pumps are the perfect pairings to give it some edge.
