UM- is it hot where you live? Because San Diego is seriously warm & I can’t wait to escape this heat. We are leaving in about 2 weeks (fucking anxiety so high rn just typing that) to Europe & fingers cross it’s a little cooler than what I am dealing with right now because it’s really limiting my outfit choices.
But back to the anxiety thing real quick- if it feels like I’ve been a little distant, it’s because we are leaving for a big trip soon & I am mildly freaking the fuck out. I get the WORST pre-vacation anxiety. I posted about this briefly on Instagram & someone asked me what exactly was my trigger & I couldn’t pick one thing. The plane, being away from home, PACKING, worrying about my dogs, going places I have never been, the unfamiliar, what if i get sick? What if Zack gets sick? What if we miss our plane there or home, or a train. The list can go ON & ON… it sucks.
When I am in this state nervousness, I can’t focus very well, which has been making work hard. I feel like I am procrastinating a lot of things, & then I beat myself up over it. I am trying to just let go of some shit right now & not stress myself out too much. I am trying to take a lot of Sparkcycle classes to help ease my nerves/get out some negative energy & just trying to practice some self love.
Too heavy for a denim post? IDK man, I just felt like I needed to get that out, but yes- I do want to share with guys a denim trend I am loving/the only denim I can wear right now.
THAT SEVENTIES VIBE CONTRAST STITCH…. atleast I think it’s from the seventies. I am not sure, but generally- contrast stitch denim is pretty lightweight so it’s the only denim I can wear right now in this heat. My denim collection is actually collecting dust right now & I dream of the day I can manage to put jeans on again, but that’s not today so I am getting by with some rad lightweight denim with a fun contrast stitch detail.
I actually READ a while back somewhere this trend was coming back for Summer & I remember thinking I wasn’t down with it cause it was a little too retro looking for me, but I have changed my tune!
So- I am rounding up a whole bunch of rad contract denim picks below for you guys. I am currently eyeing this fun For Love & Lemons dress & these really cute denim belted skirt- both would be extra cute in Europe (another way I distract myself from the vacation nerves- online shopping).
