Okay… I have a deep dark secret/admission. Don’t judge me, but I have a sick obsession with ice cream. It’s gotten to the point where I actually have to dodge the ice cream aisle at any & all grocery stores- including drugstores/convenient stores/gas stations.
Truth, I once chased the ice cream truck lady down my own street with my car, the street ended up being a cul-de-sac. So, by the time I reached her, she was already headed back up towards my house. Yes, the chase continued & yes, I got my ice cream.
So there I was– barefoot & chowing down on an ice cream bar outside of my house. I had hit rock bottom, I was the face of addiction. There is absolutely no point in eating a healthy diet, & then ending the day with a tub of sugar. I went cold turkey… up until last night.
No no no, I didn’t relapse on a pint of Ben & Jerry’s- yay me! Instead, I crafted up a super delish, healthy alternative. I have made banana ice cream before, but this time I switched it up a bit & made it even healthier w/ the yummy addition of Acai powder & creamier by adding in some greek yogurt.
Let me tell you, ice cream shmice cream, this antioxidant packed frozen treat is my new JAM. So bomb, swear.
See ya later future diabetes diagnose, you won’t be missed!

++ The Ingreds:: 1 frozen banana, 1 cup of greek yogurt, & 1 hefty scoop of Acai Powder.
Speaking of Acai!! Ahh I love. Some of the benefits of this magical powder include:
++ It’s great for your skin as it combats free radicals that damage skin, promotes a healthy membrane giving you that much coveted “glow”, keeps the collagen and elastin in your skin strong (which helps prevent & repair wrinkles), & eliminates toxins that wreck your perfect complexion.
++ It’s full of anti-oxidants which helps to promote a healthy heart.
++ Acai helps to keep the digestive system working as it should & are high in fiber (we all know what this means… shh!).
++ It is also known to help boost your energy levels & your… sex drive (yup, I said it!!).
(p.s. you can also throw it in your H20, yogurt, oatmeal, whatevs tickles your fancy)
++ The How To:: Mix together all your ingredients in a blender & blend till smooth. Place in the freezer for an hour or two until frozen yet still creamy.
++ Optional addition, Bee Pollen: I die over this stuff. Pricey, yes. Worth it, absolutely. I sprinkle it on almost everything!! It’s a stellar source of energy.
++ Garnish with fresh berries & mint (straight from my garden!!), & if you’re feeling extra frisky- serve it up in a martini glass ;).
Could you replace the bananna with something? I’m allergic :(
You can do straight yogurt & just freeze a bit longer :)
This is so yummy!
