Birthday cheers to the baddest babes in the fashion game, my girls MK&A.
Today is their 28th B-day & each year I like to do a special ode to these two. I know this is seriously so cheese, but I have grown up right with these girls my whole life & they have always been a huge huge huge inspiration to me (even in their cheesy movie stage, I would literally take actual pen & paper notes on their outfits while I watched). Not only is there style on point every single time, but they are also genius business women, hard workers, poised, & seemingly humble. All around epic humans, IMO.
Now, for just a few of the crucial life/beauty/& fashion lessons the duo has taught me over the years::
1. Less is always more, except when more is more.
2. Fitted shmitted. It’s all about the oversized pieces. The bigger, the better.
3. Clear nails are chic (<— PRAISE THEM FOR THIS ONE!).
4. Black is the new black. Forever.
5. Messy hair, don’t care.
6. Brown eyeliner powder on lower lash line, money.
7. Wear your sunglasses inside. It’s totally chill.
8. Oh, & you should always have one pair of good aviators.
9. Keep smiling to a minimum.
10. The prune trick. Which I can’t believe I am actually sharing… minor embarrassment.
11. A Starbucks cup in hand is a fashion accessory.
12. Sisterly love is magical.
13. Wear fur as much as possible.
14. A lil’ bit of grease in your hair is a good thing.
15. You’re never “too young” to do anything. They started acting at 6 months, founded their company “Dualstar” at the age of 6 & recorded their first album, designed their first clothing line at 13, starred in 15+ movies by the time they were 14, received the CFDA aware for Best Womenswear Fashion Designers for the row at 24, & now they are worth a whopping $300 million bucks- making them the 11th richest women in the entertainment industry.
P.S. Scope the “10 Reasons I Will Never Get Over the Olsen Twins“, last years b-day dedication.

Never!!
OMG….I am so glad you said you used to write down their outfits too. I remember watching Holiday in the Sun and telling my mom I had to had every piece on my list for my summer wardrobe. She laughed but I knew then I would always love clothes. They are such a style icon for me!

:)
To be honest I still like the Olsen twins most in the series of Full house. I just dont like this Hollywood style kinda thing. People should stay natural. They dont look like themselves anymore.
